Have owned polara models since 1991 and this in not the only one currently owned. Bought this car about 2-years ago from a gentlemen in falcon co. Who owned a local transmission shop as well. He picked it up from an elderly lady who claims it sat out in the field for years and years. Had originally purchased this car just as a parts car but immediately realized the hidden value. Rumor was that the odometer was correct at 76000 when first gotten but we have all had bs like this fed to us before so i took it with a grain of salt. After gutting the interior and cleaning and tuning the entire car i believe the odometer is actually telling the truth. The 383 big block 2-barrel carb purrs like a kitten and the transmission shifts perfectly. Drove this car to work last summer and fall and have put a few thousand miles on her and i have not had any problems with her. She is a great running car! Performed a complete tuneup to include:- all brand new brakes- all brand new fluids- all brand belts & hoses spark plugs and wires- distributor with brand new protronics- the interior has brand new carpet & headliner- seats have been redone and the dash has a dash mat- the carpet is protected with new matching custom floor mats- all interior parts had been purchased from 'stockinteriors. Com'before the headliner had been installed the roofing had also been completely covered in dynamat and a large portion of the floorboards and trunk have dynamat as well. Both front and rear glass had also been removed cleaned-up and reinstalled to insure no leaks and a brand new trunk seal had been epoxied into place as well! All glass is in excellent condition and all door glass roll-up and down to include properly working wing windows. This is a must see american classic. Currently located in ogden ut.
