In the second half of 1979 jeep built less than 1000 of the cj 5 silver anniversary editions. Less than 10 with the original motor and transmission and almost 0 rust! It was last used by us at a sema show in the early mid 90s. From the images we have seen the only thing changed from its original build are the tires the engine upgrades which is a good thing in both cases and the original windshield decal is missing which could easily be replaced. Attached are several shots of the superlift catalog that had super jeep on the cover. We sincerely hope that super jeep is kept as it is and not altered it would be a shame to dismantle a one of kind show rig survivor car. To verify that this is the real super jeep the paint colors should be subaru electric yellow and ford grabber blue. Paint body work and most of the fabrication was done by joe watts and rick phillips. Now both retired from superlift. Ford 9 inch in rear end. Just about every bolt and nut in this jeep is stainless steel and every line in this jeep is braided. Built in air compressor. Line locks on front and rear. Alpine system is custom vintage. Everything is custom. Storage custom rear seats. Custom paint ã¢â‚¬â€œ yellow and blue hand painted - no vinyl 6 point roll cage ã¢â‚¬â€œ custom painted roll cage completely padded with grab handles roll cage doubles as air tank with onboard air compressor to supply air to fill up tires on trail custom tailgate custom spare tire holder 6 lock boxes custom shot gun holder 6 point harness for seats complete alpine stereo with equalizer and 6 disc cd changer complete steel body ã¢â‚¬â€œ no fiberglass ã¢â‚¬â€œ no rust custom front and rear bumper front bumper has a ramsey pro 9000 winch with cable rollers boydã¢â‚¬â„¢s custom wheels with matching painted color inserts pro-comp speedometer tachometer oil pressure water temp oil temperature voltage gage and fuel pressure gage aluminum control knobs windshield wipers etc. Superlift will recognize this as one of their jeeps.
