Approximately 31. 5 mpg highway. Car is in fair to good condition overall. The paint is good and presentable. The top has some repaired holes and the fabric is weakening in this original top. Top is rain tight and usable. The mechanism works well having recently been repaired. Interior is fair to good. Seat bottoms have a split in the seam although not this or any other issue prevents the car from being driven. The car has an aftermarket am/fm/cd radio. All lights and electrics work other than a sporadic cruise control. The drive train works fine. The engine uses no oil and has full power. Clutch and timing and balancing belt and water pump changed around 70k miles. Many other items changed over the years. Clear 3m protective film has been applied before and after rear wheels and as door edge. These could be removed. This model is larger than the boxter which followed the 968. Therefore there is considerable usable space behind the seats for small packages and groceries. There had been a cupboard in the back seat area but it has been removed creating even more space there. The trunk also is usable. It can hold two small suitcases plus loose items or two full size golf bags with clubs and shoes. The two panels between the trunk and the passenger compartment can be folded down for longer items. The car carries an inflatable spare with an after-market inflator and original tool kit. There is a blue tonneau cover. The motor is a large 4 cylinder delivering around 235 horsepower. Some think that the 968 has the best sounding motor and (stainless steel) exhaust of any porsche. Regardless this is a fun car to drive. With the transmission in the rear and motor in the front the 968 has superior weight distribution and oversteer is not an issue compared to the rear engine modelsvehicle is located in santa fe nm. Finished in its original paint of ruby red metallic the paint is very shiny, there is no damage to the body of the car and the car has never sustained any damage there is a copy of the clean car fax in the photo section. Some road chips to the front end (its original) the car has new tires, the brakes are awesome, the syncros also great, this is an excellent example of the 944, everything working correct, power top can be removed and i have the storage bag as well. It is a 5 speed manual, the ac works but needs to be charged, the original radio works. Interior is nice with the front seats being recovered in factory material, some small cracks in the dash, al gauges working, windows, sunroof, mirrors, horn etc. A california car all of its life no rust issues, spare tire, jack and pump in the storage compartment in rear.
